I am coming out of my fog now. Thank Goodness - 5 days to Christmas Eve! I've been busy. I had a PET scan done and the results were good and bad. The diagnosis is confirmed and put at a Stage 3. This is more about where it is than how bad it is. It is slow growing and that gives me the luxury of a little time to regroup. One of the options for treatment would be to wait and see. Rather than jumping into treatment, we are going to get a second opinion and then decide. It sounds like radiation is out because the disease is now below my diaphram (that is the magic line or something) and would require too much. Chemo is a possibility, but since I am not symptomatic it seems a little crazy to make myself so sick. There are also some drugs on the market which we will be discussing at our appts. I am going to take a vacation from this until my Dec 30th appt with Dr. Resta. Then game is on!
